Demstar and A & A Hotel Shops LTD

Demstar, one of the leading IT service providers in Cyprus, is excited to announce its collaboration with A & A Hotel Shops LTD on the implementation of an innovative project focused on the development of an AI and machine learning-based invoice processing system.

The aim of this project was to digitally transform the manual and time-consuming process of handling incoming invoices into an immediate, automated solution, offering multiple benefits for the business. To execute this project, Demstar partnered with SoftOne, the provider of A & A Hotel Shops LTD's accounting system.

The main challenges of the project included managing multiple suppliers, processing a large volume of incoming invoices, and the company's need to significantly improve the time between receiving purchase invoices and entering the invoice data into the company's accounting system.

The project focuses on three key areas: automating the importation of invoices and extracting required data from incoming purchase invoices, digitizing the approval process for these invoices, and automatically integrating the invoice data into the company’s accounting system, SoftOne ERP. This ensures that products are immediately available for customer invoicing and supplier payments.

Demstar developed the corresponding solution by utilizing machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies for data extraction and processing, combined with automated workflows for validating and entering the data into the company’s accounting system (SoftOne). These technologies have the ability to automatically adapt to changes in purchase invoices, minimizing potential human errors and saving time.

On behalf of A & A Hotel Shops LTD, the company’s Director, Mr. Antonis Antoniou, remarked: "The results are already evident, as the automated system has reduced both invoice processing time and error occurrence. This has helped us enhance productivity and reduce costs, as our operational expenses have decreased significantly."
